It’s party time!
After many months of planning and dreaming, we celebrated this week the opening of the new Mosaic Centre. The ceremony kicked off with our very own Master of Ceremonies, Clinton leading the way. Clinton is one of our first foster children.
Speeches and thank you’s were accompanied with some great entertainment from our Made by Mosaic staff and children. The ceremony formalities were followed by the symbolic cutting of the ribbon by Judith, our eldest and one of the first foster children. As the doors opened, guests streamed in with much anticipation to see what lies inside.
As Mosaic is growing at a rapid rate, the new Centre will provide us with three times more space than the current Centre. This will mean that we will be able to steer the afterschool program more effectively, provide more space to host parent meetings and parent trainings and accommodate more employees in our business ventures. The Centre will also provide management and volunteers with the ability to effectively administer Mosaic.
We had to say goodbye to one of our German volunteers, Felix. Known for his friendliness and contagious enthusiasm, he has made a tremendous difference in the live of our children. The whole Mosaic family will sorely miss him and we wish him all the best of luck!
Enjoy the last week of May, all Mosaic readers!
With Love, the Mosaic Team
