Our faith in Jesus Christ is core to who we are at Mosaic. We believe that we have a personal mission to share God’s unconditional love with others especially orphaned and vulnerable children, their families, and their communities.
As an organization whose founding and direction takes a Christian worldview, we affirm the truth of the gospel in what we, as an organization, believe.
We believe that sharing the good news is the most important task on earth. More important than providing food, clothing, housing and a good education.
“For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?” (Mark 8:36)
We believe poverty is not just a lack of material resources, but that poverty also extends to broken relationships in families and communities. We therefore have a significant focus on helping our families restore broken relationships in their lives. (Colossians 1).
We believe that we are called to share God’s love and expand His Kingdom by living out our faith in the work that we do every day, and in everything.
“Take your everyday, ordinary life—your sleeping, eating, going-to-work, and walking-around life—and place it before God as an offering.” (Rom 12:1 – Msg)
We believe that we don’t have all the answers to other people’s problems, but we believe that they have the answers to these problems through the Holy Spirit working in and through them. We pray that the Holy Spirit works through us to serve those who are marginalized, overlooked and forgotten with love and dignity.
“But the Advocate, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you. Peace, I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.” (John 14:26-27)
